Introduction, and how to say my name. Empty Introduction, and how to say my name.

So I'm the newest (I think) member of the PotA MWO squadron (can we call it a squadron if we don't fly?), thanks to Firecrafter, Scott and Thunder spending some time dropping with me and having fun. Looking forward to meeting more of you over the next few weeks.

So...seriously, how the hell do you pronounce that name dude?

Well, first you have to realize it's spelled wrong. Most forum software (and games for that matter) don't like ' characters in usernames since it's also usually the sql text delimiter and you know SQL injection can be a thing. In reality it should be J'zaltheral. As for how to say it, J-ZAL-th-ral, or ja-ZAL-the-ral. the a's are all soft, like in the word father. On comms, I usually just tell people to call me Jazz - it's easier and faster, unless there's another Jazz online.

As for the smart monkey at the keyboard, I'm in my earlier forties, father of three (two teenagers and one at college), married for 15 years. I work as a Java application engineer for a bank in Iowa, but the family and I will be moving to Virginia next year. Both my wife and I spent some time in military (Army and Air Force respectively). I've been a gamer since the original Dungeons and Dragons sets in the late 70's/early 80's, and played more tabletop games than I can easily remember.

My online gaming experience started with Everquest, then stopped for a long time, then I picked up Eve Online. I've played that off and on since 2008. I've been playiung MWO off and on since 2012 (I think), and before that I played most of the other PC MW games, including mech commander, the crescent hawk series back in the early days (early '90s I think), and the Mechwarrior series.

I'm on most days after work, unless we have something going on at the house, and on most weekends, unless I'm busy with something or out at the lake, so hopefully I'll get to drop with you guys some over the next week or so.

Looking forward to it.

Jazz.

P.S. - OOC, does the unit have some kind of color scheme?

Yeah. We're planning to move back to the Richmond, VA area - that's where I am from, and where my family lives. So not too bad - four or five hours from Charleston, WV - I think it's about 6-ish to Morganton.
