I went to the Yorktown CV-10 on Sunday! It was pretty exciting. We stayed for most of the day, but we still weren't able to do everything. Yorktown Pictures

Awesome pics Hardin! I bet you and your friends had a great time. It's so cool that some of the games we like to play can inspire us to visit historical parks like this one. Thanks for showing us. BTW, that Balao class sub looks a lot roomier than I would have imagined it to be.

I wish I could have taken some more pictures of the sub, but I didn't want to stop and slow down the crowd especially because my mom was freaking out about how small the passageway was. The torpedo rooms were probably the largest rooms in the sub. We didn't have access to the conning tower though so I don't know how large that would have been.

I don't think of myself as a tall person, but I felt cramped on those ships. There were even some places on the Yorktown that I had to be careful or I would hit my head on the ceiling. I actually did bump my head once! I had a pretty bad headache from it! Still though the Yorktown was huge! We were walking for hours going through all of the tours.

My mom has vip passes that last for 6 months so we might even go again to see the things we didn't have time for. There was a Vietnam experience that we didn't have time to see. Apparently it's a tour of a recreation of a Vietnam village and you go through with sounds effects and stuff. Laughing
